Introduction

Palan is a Malaysian Entrepreneur. In a career spanning 42 years, Palan has consistently done the same thing – helping people learn and perform, in his various roles as a teacher, an HRD (human resources management and development) practitioner, an author, and an entrepreneur.

With multiple qualifications from several Universities, on four continents, including the Harvard Business School and Federation University, Australia, Palan has worked in a variety of industries in different countries.

His expertise has been centered around Strategy, Corporate Governance, and General Management. He has been a member of the Board of Directors, Board of Advisors, and Independent Commissions of several organizations both private and government.

He took his start-up company public in 2006. While his work has been predominantly in private sector education, information technology, and health sectors, his work as a consulting specialist has been across many industries. He has authored 20 books and has also served in non-profit organizations in voluntary roles.

He has received several awards for his contributions. Palan was conferred the prestigious Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which carries the second highest title, the honorary title “Tan Sri” by the King of Malaysia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah in 2016.

His family lives in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
